ABOUT THE EXHIBITION OPPORTUNITY

imPRESSions is a joint exhibition between members of the Pittsburgh Print Group and Greensburg Art Center to showcase and promote printmaking works by their members. The exhibition is open to the public, hosted at the Greensburg Art Center in Greensburg, PA. The opening reception will be held at the Greensburg Art Center and will include an awards ceremony and catered food and drinks.

The exhibition is an open exhibition for members, meaning your work is guaranteed exhibition space if your membership to one of the organizations is up-to-date and you complete the submission registration. Your submission fees goes towards award prizes, marketing and promotion of the exhibition, and the opening reception.

Awards Judge: 

Jeremiah William McCarthy
Jeremiah William McCarthy is presently Chief Curator at the Westmoreland Museum of American Art. He is the curator or co-curator of the exhibitions Inspired Encounters: Women Artists and the Legacies of Modern Art (2022–23); Knowing and Naming: Abstraction Beyond Reality (2022); For America: Paintings from the National Academy of Design (traveled 2019–22); and Women Artists in Paris, 1850–1900 (traveled 2017–18). He is currently organizing the first mid-career survey of Anila Quayyum Agha, which will tour nationally in 2024–25.

RETURN SHIPPING
You must included pre-paid return shipping label for all mailed works.
Items will not be retuned without a provided shipping label.

SUBMISSION INFO

  • Open to one to three works. Space for two works is guaranteed, with a third space depending on space availability.

  • FRAMED work, wired for display, ONLY.

  • All printmaking mediums including risograph prints are welcome. (No digital prints.)

  • Your membership to the Pittsburgh Print Group must be up to date with dues paid.

  • Submission fee: $25

  • Works may be offered for sale to the public, but it is not a requirement. Please distinctly mark your prices or NFS.

  • Greensburg Art Center will manage sales internally and be selling works off the wall, with a 20% commission on works sold.

  • Sales commission (0%) will be paid-out to artists within 60 days within the end of the exhibition. The Greensburg Art Center mails checks via mail to artists. (Please make sure your mailing address is up to date on your submission forms.)

  • Accepted artists are responsible for dropping off/picking up or shipping items to the Greensburg Art Center.

  • If shipping artwork, a pre-paid return shipping label MUST be included with artwork shipment. No artwork will be returned without an artist-provided shipping label.

  • By submitting to this exhibition, you agree that Pittsburgh Print Group and the Greensburg Art Center will not be held liable for works damaged in transit or while on public display.
